It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Lebanon Symphony
Orchestra & Chorus' "Sweet 16" 2006-2007 Concert Season!
As I reflect on
the rich history and growth of the LSOC, I sit in amazement at its progress,
growth, patron support and its development: from its infancy, part one of
Handel's MESSIAH (December 1991) with limited accompaniment; to the
grand splendor of full orchestration in Verdi's powerful REQUIEM
(first performed April 1995).

This season, the LSOC will feature two compositions by contemporary
American composer Richard Einhorn. Richard's unique music has been
described as "hauntingly beautiful," "sensational," and "overwhelming in
its emotional power."
He has become one of a small handful of living
composers who not only reaches a large world-wide audience, but whose
music receives widespread critical praise for its integrity, emotional
depth, and craft.

Our much loved COOKIE CONCERT will feature Richard's "My Many Colored
Days"
based on the Dr. Seuss book – guaranteed to have you clapping
your hands and stomping your feet!

Mark your calendars for the SEASON FINALE and Tri-State premier of
Einhorn's Voices of Light, which merges the legendary 1927 silent film
masterpiece The Passion of Joan of Arc. An incredibly moving and popular
composition for solo voices, chorus and orchestra, VOICES OF LIGHT has
been hailed as "a triumph" (Los Angeles Times) and "an overwhelming
experience"
(Chicago Tribune). With over 100 performances to date and
10 more planned for the next 12 months, VOICES OF LIGHT has a proven
popular appeal and a special ability to deeply touch the hearts of its
audiences. The LSOC strongly encourages advanced ticket purchase for
this event! A second performance is TBD. Please note . . . Seating is limited.

If you have questions on how you can get involved in the LSOC –
give us a call or send us an email.

Here's to a great concert season!
